General Introduction

General Introduction

Our department started undergraduate education in 2012-2013 Academic Year and continues to grow day by day with 2 professors, 1 associate professor and 3 assistant professors. There are 114 undergraduate students continuing their undergraduate education in our department.

"Biomedical Engineering Master's Programme with Thesis" has started accepting students in Fall Semester of 2020-2021 Academic Year within Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. There are 7 graduate students continuing their graduate education in our department.

Our Aim

Our aim is to train biomedical engineers who aim to find solutions to problems in the fields of medicine and biology by using engineering techniques, who can successfully take part in design, production, application and R&D studies in all industrial and research institutions in the biomedical field, who are creative, have a systematic approach to problem solving, are prone to teamwork, are sensitive to the environment and effective in social relations, and have economic and professional ethical awareness and leadership qualities.

To train qualified and self-confident biomedical engineers who can follow technological developments, work effectively in interdisciplinary fields, and provide undergraduate education at an international level.

To contribute to scientific knowledge and to produce solutions to the problems of the national industry by conducting research that provides information and technology production.
